Rinzin Paldon Lama, a student at the UNICEF stall, reflected on the experience, stating, “First of all we had to do research about UNICEF… I learned a lot about being a part of a team…” The exhibition encompassed political structures, state heads, religions, languages, and geographic highlights, each meticulously researched and presented by the students themselves.
Deepesh Maharjan, the school’s Vice-Principal, commented on the event’s collaborative spirit: “We have invited representatives from all the embassies… and we have prepared our students that they will be able to present their countries, their culture…” The event provided a platform for students to engage with local diplomats and learn from their insights, further enriching their cultural knowledge.
This year’s event, inaugurated by the mayor of Gokarnewshwor Municipality, epitomised Nepal’s commitment to experiential learning. Ashim Shah, from Nepal’s Federal Parliament, noted the educational value of the initiative, stating, “Here each and every stalls represents a particular country… This learning process not only is limited to the students but for the parents as well…”
