He urged prioritising human rights, asserting that dignity must be safeguarded even amidst violence, and that swift actions should focus on fostering dialogue to achieve peace.
In light of the deteriorating security situation, IMBISA advocated for cooperation with international and faith-based organisations to address the urgent needs of those displaced. The Secretary General, Bishop Rudolf Nyadoro, noted the rising conflict in DRC and called for a collective commitment to cease hostilities, ensuring that civilians in Goma and surrounding areas are protected.
