Buledi pointed out discrepancies in the recent digital census, alleging the government underreported the population of Balochistan by eight million to lessen the province’s clout in national matters. He described enforced disappearances as the most urgent issue in the region, accusing the state of transcending legal and constitutional bounds, leading to widespread corruption in public institutions.
The senator particularly acknowledged the courageous role of Baloch women and children in advocating for missing persons, condemning the government’s violent crackdowns. He emphasised the deep-seated respect for women within Baloch culture, making their mistreatment even more appalling.
