In a remarkable display of cultural vibrancy, Msheireb Downtown Doha (MDD) welcomed over a million visitors from March 1 to 19, achieving a staggering 30% increase from the previous year. This surge was invigorated by a blend of cultural events, spiritual observances, and exquisite dining experiences, painting a picture of Ramadan enriched with community spirit and engagement.

The Garangao festivities on March 14 and 15 captivated countless families, with 1,800 children and their parents relishing a themed tram ride echoing with traditional drumming and Garangao melodies, spreading joy with sweets and a festive atmosphere.
On March 15, Hosh Msheireb’s Garangao event witnessed more than 2,000 attendees, doubling last year’s turnout. A highlight was a Kids’ Fashion Show, where youngsters flaunted traditional outfits, and the victor received a complimentary stay at a prestigious Msheireb hotel.
Hosh Msheireb thrived as a community hotspot, attracting 12,000 visitors. It became a stage for diverse cultural and educational activities, including visits to the Company House and engaging experiences for over 8,000 children in the Kids’ Zone. The “Back to Msheireb” exhibition drew more than 1,500 visitors, enriching the area as a cultural nexus.
Solidifying its place as a spiritual anchor, MDD hosted revered scholars, including Sheikh Raad al-Kurdi and Mufti Ismail Menk, drawing crowds over 3,000 for a special sermon at the Eid Musala. Isha and Tarawih prayers saw attendance soar to 70,000 worshippers, reflecting a 75% increase from 2024.
Culinary experiences at the Mandarin Oriental, Doha, exceeded projections with sumptuous Suhoor and Iftar offerings serving about 9,000 guests, a notable 54.5% increase, signifying a rising demand for luxurious dining as part of the Ramadan experience at MDD.
