The CHANEL Commission at Hamburger Bahnhof signifies an annual venture, providing artists the platform to unveil extensive projects that reshape the museum’s artistic narrative. This collaboration transforms the vast space, exceeding 2,500 square meters, into an immersive environment that challenges conventional thinking about public art.
Accompanied by a catalogue published by Silvana Editoriale Milano, the exhibition is curated by Sam Bardaouil and Anna-Catharina Gebbers, prominent figures within the Hamburger Bahnhof. The project is backed by the CHANEL Culture Fund and supported by Hamburger Bahnhof International Companions e.V., marking it as a notable highlight of the Nationalgalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
Visitors can find the museum at Invalidenstraße 50, 10557 Berlin, with partially wheelchair accessible entries. Operating hours are Sunday from 11:00 to 18:00, and Tuesday to Friday 10:00 to 18:00, extending until 20:00 on Thursdays, while remaining closed on Mondays.
