IHG’s Vignette Collection Establishes Its First Presence in Germany with Bristol Berlin

IHG Hotels & Resorts has proudly announced its inaugural signing of the Bristol Berlin for the Vignette Collection, marking a significant milestone in European expansion. Nestled within Aroundtown’s extensive portfolio of over 150 hotels across Europe, this gem will join a flourishing community of luxury and lifestyle hotels under the Vignette umbrella. Since its launch in 2021, the Vignette Collection has rapidly grown, aiming for an ambitious target of 100 hotels by 2030.

Originally opened in 1952, the historic Bristol Berlin hotel occupies a prime spot on Kurfürstendamm, one of Berlin’s most prestigious avenues. The hotel will showcase 303 charming rooms, an all-day brasserie, a lobby lounge and bar, a spa complete with a swimming pool, and an expansive 1,500 sqm dedicated to meetings and events, creating a haven for both leisure and business guests.

Willemijn Geels, Vice President of Development in Europe for IHG, expressed enthusiasm about the brand’s growth in the luxury and lifestyle segment. She noted, “With both guests and hotel owners continuing to show strong enthusiasm for IHG’s variety of brands… it is great to see evidence of this strategy in play with the prospective first opening of Vignette Collection hotel in Germany.”

Germany has been identified as a priority market for IHG, with significant investments made to support hotel owners through various phases of their operations. With 147 hotels currently open and 75 more in development across multiple brands, the Bristol Berlin will enhance IHG’s burgeoning portfolio. This addition is particularly notable as it marks the second Vignette Collection signing in Germany, following the Reit im Winkl signing, indicating a robust growth trajectory for the brand.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed Bristol Berlin as part of the Vignette Collection, marking its first venture in Germany for this luxury brand. The hotel features 303 rooms, dining options, a spa, and ample meeting space. With investments in Germany, IHG aims to expand its luxury portfolio, tracking towards its goal of 100 hotels by 2030, ultimately showcasing the continued interest in its diverse offerings.

The signing of Bristol Berlin for the Vignette Collection signifies IHG’s strategic expansion into the luxury hospitality market in Germany. With a remarkable blend of history and modern amenities, this hotel is poised to attract both guests and owners alike, reflecting IHG’s commitment to maintaining unique character while growing its presence across Europe. As IHG aims for a greater footprint in the luxury segment, the Vignette Collection stands out as a testament to this evolving narrative.
