“ROOMS of AM TACHELES seeks to explore the diverse aesthetic and emotional potential of domestic life, shaped by the iconic architecture of these living spaces,” says creative director Garth Roberts. Each vignette is delicately poised as a fragment of possibility, encouraging visitors to engage with the space, rather than simply observe a fully furnished environment.
Fernando Laposse’s vignette bursts with playful pink hues and organic textures, evoking a sensory domestic landscape. Known for his creative applications of natural fibres, he harnesses sisal and corn husk veneers to forge tactile surfaces that tell powerful stories, merging sustainability with cultural heritage.
Lotto Studio adopts a sculptural lens, expertly navigating negative space while intertwining functionality with material expression. Their use of aluminium, burled maple, and Emperador marble echoes Gruentuch Ernst’s architecture, presenting a composition that is both curated and inviting, showcasing the fluidity of form and void.
Finally, studioutte’s vision juxtaposes contrasting elements, mixing raw aluminium with lush leather and translucent materials against strong, monolithic forms. Drawing inspiration from Herzog & de Meuron’s brutalist roots, this Milan-based studio introduces warmth and tactility, reshaping perceptions of scale and softness within interiors.
