Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro emphasised that this event presents a golden opportunity for Akron to unveil its thriving economic landscape. Mayor Shammas Malik remarked on the potential to forge connections between state-wide participants and the opportunities within the city. Steve Millard, CEO of the Greater Akron Chamber, noted the region’s resilience and commitment to reinvention amid challenges to investment and job growth.
