This delay poses a threat to the stability of affected families, especially under harsh weather conditions,” the organization noted.
In light of these issues, the organization implored the Interior Minister to reassess the list of aid beneficiaries, stressing the need to include all affected individuals. They proposed establishing a committee to investigate the exclusions and hold responsible parties accountable for these oversights. To enhance transparency, they also recommend making the lists of aid recipients publicly available for citizen scrutiny.
In October, the government, upon directives from King Mohammed VI, promised financial aid of 140,000 dirhams for families whose homes were fully destroyed and 80,000 dirhams for those with partial losses.
