Among the collection, the standout piece is a pure gold coin weighing one kilogram, showcasing the cathedral’s façade crowned by its iconic rose window. Limited to just 24 editions, symbolizing the year 2024, this coin, bearing a face value of 5,000 euros, will be available for 155,000 euros. “We had to dedicate our collection to Notre-Dame,” stated Marc Schwartz, CEO of La Monnaie de Paris, during a press conference.
These coins, products of two years of dedicated work, reflect the enduring relationship between two timeless traditions: the preservation of architectural heritage and the art of coinage.
